HSC 3500 Epidemiology
This course focuses on the fundamentals of epidemiology. Key epidemiological concepts such as historic developments, the main epidemiological study designs, and causal inference are covered. Topics include risk factors and disease outcomes; usage of rates, ratios and proportions; methods of direct and indirect adjustments; and case studies which measure and describe the extent of desease. A field case study is completed.
