RTE 1418 Radiographic Imaging I
In this course, students study the basic concepts of atomic structure, electricity, electromagnetism, and electromagnetic induction. Students apply these concepts in the operation of the x-ray equipment and the production of the x-ray beam. Toward the end of the course, students study the nature of the x-ray beam, specifically the technical factors that control its intensity and energy, and how these affect patient radiation dose and the radiographic image.
