FFP 0010 Firefighting Academy I (N)
This course introduces the student to the basic skills and techniques used in firefighting. Classroom instruction includes a variety of fire related topics which are reinforced and enhanced through practical skills activities. Upon completion, the student is eligible to receive certification as a volunteer firefighter and may elect to continue training in Firefighting Academy II to pursue state certification as a firefighter. Permission of the Fire Science Director required.
