COM 1409 Communication Theory
This course is a survey of basic communication theories including and examination of processes, functions, levels, and general principles of human communication. Beginning with an exploration of the major paradigms in the study of human communication, it identifies and analyzes key theories that focus on a particular type of communication (e.g., mass media), a specific context (e.g., relationships), or an aspect of communication (e.g., creating meaning).
