STS 0120 Surgical Specialties I (N)

This course is an introduction to various types of surgical interventions and corresponding anatomical systems of the body. Perioperative case management, instrumentation, equipment, and procedural steps are defined and discussed with focus on the following specialties: general, obstetrics, gynecology, genitourinary, orthopedics, and plastic/reconstructive. The perioperative care of the individualized patient is included.
