MLT 1040C Introduction to Medical Technology

This course focuses on introductory medical laboratory principles and skills common to all laboratory departments including hematology, clinical chemistry, microbiology, serology and immunology and blood banking or immunohematology. It also provides a general overview on those techniques, procedures, and issues pertaining to the proper collection of blood and body fluid specimens for routine clinical laboratory testing.
