Financial Aid and Attendance
Students at IRSC who receive any Federal Financial Aid, including Veterans Benefits, are expected to attend all class sessions. Unavoidable absences should be discussed with instructors. Also, students funded by any of these programs must make Satisfactory Academic Progress to maintain their eligibility. Financial Aid and Veteran students should refer to IRSC’s Standards of Satisfactory Academic Progress (available online). Students who are Financial Aid recipients who cease to attend classes are considered withdrawn for Financial Aid purposes. (See Withdrawals - Refund of Title IV Funds, below). Students who do not attend the first week of their class will be withdrawn, receive a grade of “W”, and have their Financial Aid award adjusted as appropriate. Attendance in online classes is verified by completing online assignments.
