CHM 2211 Organic Chemistry II
This course teaches the nomenclature, preparations, reactions, mechanisms, and the electronic and structural features of carbon-containing compounds. Classes of compounds studied include aromatics, aldehydes, ketones, carboxylic acids, amines and phenols. Chemical structure is determined using infrared spectra and nuclear magnetic resonance spectra.
