EDG 4376 Integrating Language Arts and Social Science (U)
This course provides an overview of current methods of instruction in language arts and social sciences, with emphasis on the writing process, and strategies to make the curriculum accessible to diverse students including those with various disabilities and LEP (Limited English Proficient) students. Practical experience in curriculum, instruction and assessment are provided. This course addresses Sunshine State Standards, educator accomplished practices and pedagogy pertinent to specific disciplines required for certification, and the council for exceptional children's content standards for all beginning special education teachers. Minimum 20 hours structured field experience required.
